Well the internet is back on (it’s the promised 2 meg now that somehow never managed to get on in Kilwinning) and we are in Aberdeen. The kids have started school and nursery. Catty is at work and I am here at ‘home’ doing the housework*.
The move went reasonably well, except for the following;
- The removal company charged over £100 more than quoted for “extras” that were included in the walkround which the quote was based on!!
- The removal company turned up 3 hours late, with the wrong truck!!!
- The removal company lost one of the legs to the kids trampoline!!
- The removal company just threw the kids toys into the back garden!! (they got here first and didn’t realise I had pulled in to the drive and could see them doing this!)
- The removal company, against policy, took the tropical fish in the back of their (ice cold) truck and we are now 6 fish less.
- The removal company fucked my brand new guitar (I am extrememly pissed at them for this one)
I hope catty’s company will still pay for these cowboys, since their quote is now not the cheapest.

I probably lost a few emails in the downtime, my email account was locked out. So my mum and Catty may also have stopped receiving email for a day or two (I had over 200 spam etc using the space) my apologies for that peepell.
Within a few days of getting here I broke the van! I know I know, take a second to compose yourselves! I backed it into this little pony wall thingy out the back door. It’s there because the drive is higher than the windows I think but anyhow it’s still there. Took out the rear bumper panel, big scratch and crack, here are the pics (excuse the mank)…
I am sure Aberdeen isn’t completely rubbish though, the people here seem fine ‘like’. Everyone is friendly and the kids school seems good, properly good not just this is fine for now good. I found the local B&Q mini-warehouse today, which was pretty cool, not that B&Q is cool but that I was actually out and about finding places. I actually think I am going to enjoy the place as somewhere to live, better not speak too soon though! watch this space!
