Apologies if anyone saw that!
Well done leet hackers, can you email me to tell me how you accomplished the feat of uploading a single .html page to my site? Skills beyond my comprehension probably so don’t bother!

I’ve been messing around with the theme switcher hopefully I’ve got all the bugs out of it (i.e default and classic themes being unable to switch!) I’m still undecided on which theme I like best. I’m fairly sure it’s not Seven though because it only shows one post on the main. I like the Simpsons one and Flush too actually. In fact I might do a random theme thing so it’ll just pick whatever one, or would that suck?

What a pain in the arse this back to school shopping is.
What’s wrong with the bags they had last year?
How come I can’t get a new jacket?
Are you sure she’s not just getting them because they have flashing lights in the soles?
…and so on. It’s mental in town at the moment. Akin to the Christmas rush I think. On top of the stress of being in town with mentalist parents everywhere my car is off the road at the moment waiting on stuff from the states so we were BUSSING it! Gawdalmighty! That’s an effin nightmare. Ashley is 1 now so she just wants to be walking everywhere on her own, and no way will she sit at peace on the bus. Lucked out on the way in as she slept in her buggy - oh there’s another nightmare, First Aberdeen have decided to only let on one buggy at a time unless you fold it up. What a pain in the arse that is. It’s ok if she’s awake since she doesn’t want to sit in the buggy anyhow. If she’s asleep you’re screwed, depending on where you are getting on. At this end we are probably OK since the nearest stop is at the end of the line so you can be the first buggy on, but from town it’s not the end of the line. I could be waiting on busses for an hour. I don’t mind but there is enough room on them for two, sometimes three buggies if they aren’t too busy. There’s another thing, no matter how many people are on a bus the driver will stop at any stop for more! WTF!!! Dude, full means there’s no more space!
I think I saw Jayne today too, wearing a brown coat she walked past the bus I was on in Loch Street.
Catty is on Call Out for her work too. Hasn’t had a call all week so far, guess when it rang… when we were in town! EUGHHHHH! Standing about while she tries to fix an oil rig from memory doesn’t work out too well for me! lol
Another disaster…. Had to pick up Billie-Jo from a party today, was told, Art Gallery 2:30. No problem get there at 2-ish, hang about ’til 2:30 but nobody else turns up, no other parents or anything. Bollocks, this is the art centre. Quick dash to the right place and we got her, only a few minutes late but still feeling like idiots!
Roll on next week.

I never mentioned the gliding. Catty’s work are great, they have all these events you can just go along to and because you are a group you generally get discounts. Meaning you get to try things for cheap! Anyhow, she came in a couple of months ago and asked, “do you want to go gliding?”
“Aye, why no…” was my, as ever, enthusiastic reply.
Well the day came and off we trundled to Aboyne to the Deeside Gliding Club. The weather wasn’t the best(low cloud) but up we went. All I have to say on the matter is WOW! This is the single best way to fly bar none in my opinion. I’d love to take it up as a hobby(pennies permitting).
Catty took the camera up with her so here are the in-glider shots…
Pretty neat huh?

I’ve realised I’ve never really blogged about IRC. I don’t know why either. So here goes.
I’ve been using IRC since I first got on the internet and after a few weeks of surfing the ‘net began to wonder “where is everyone else?” Innes mentioned some program called mIRC and gave me a copy to toy around with. I was hooked after my first day. At the time mIRC was set to default to the DALnet network. mIRC was the largest windows IRC client so DALnet was the largest IRC network. This has since changed though so now more of the other networks get a better look in. The website NetSplit has loads of IRC related stats for the more anal amongst you! I like the smaller networks however (less assholes!)
One of these great networks is the WyldRyde IRC Network which I have recently joined as part of my BlogShares journey. IRC and these smaller networks in particular are a great place to “meet” folks from all around the globe to discuss any and all subjects. I’m obviously using the blogshares channels at the moment but even within that there are many levels of discussion. Plus if you are using mIRC you can pretty much entirely customise it. I write my own scripts but there are millions of other’s available too.

I mentioned in my last post about blogshares, well, I’m taking part in a competition on it by the 23,000 chippies corporation. A part of this is to blog about the competition.
The whole 23 thing is run by Rantz, an offbeat ozzie
who has a fixation with all things 23, annoyingly this is also the 23rd competition he’s run so I reckon he’s beside himself with excitement.
I took part in the last competition in their IRC Channel and what a laugh it was. It was fastest fingers first(generally a guy called Ken) to answer Rantz’s bizarre questions, one example:
Question: H-I-J-K-L-M-N-O
Answer : Water
It was nevertheless strangely addictive and I sat up until after 4 one morning answering them!
The big prize this time is 23,000 chips. Chips in blogshares are used for many things, personally I sell them for B$ cash, as each chip is worth over B$25,000,000 at the moment. That cash is handy to buy up shares in blogs and “tools” for takeovers and things. Well this post only needed to be 150 words so I’m gonna stop now! Thanks for reading and get onto blogshares NOW!
