I was going to do a short post on how I  am getting round my ’sell out’ clause (see last post) by keeping up to date with MisssyM via her full post aggregation on the ABZblogs site. Hehe! I set the rules I’ll bend them where quality blogging is happening.

I couldn’t ignore the last post from fellow ABZ blogger Cllr Mark McDonald though. It’s late now and I wouldn’t do a response justice, although I will be posting comment in his blog soon enough. I just want to say that this blog may well be heading in a slightly local political direction (hey I already have 2 mentions in the Scottish round-up, I’m practically the politics authority! - also, what’s happening with curious hamster? after his move to wordpress his aggregation’s not feeding ABZ, this needs sorting, I digress…) Yeah, politics… I don’t think the P&J are doing the current round of political troubles in Aberdeen justice with their coverage. They’re becoming ever so slightly story writers rather than story tellers. Hopefully some fellow bloggers and I can re-direct the focus or at least get both sides heard.

I don’t talk about my own political leanings, mainly because I don’t like the set up of party politics, it’s always party first, politics second. Not how I want my life to be run thanks. So I’ll be staying independent although I’ll no doubt seem to be taking an SNP bias as I try to get the viewpoint of a non P&J/EE writer across.

I don’t know whether I should be eagerly anticipating or dreading your observations

Hehe, I’ll try to be firm but fair!

TBH I think it’s the labour party in Aberdeen who have most to fear(if fear is the right word to use when talking about the rants of one ill-informed blogger!)

Yeah order of the day is getting them to stop whingeing!

I should be an obvious Labour party voter, I’m a plumber for god sake! Yet since being able to vote I’ve yet to cast one in their direction, this isn’t right surely. I am averse to party politics anyhow and would much rather vote for an independent who’s manifesto/important issues correlate to mine. Unfortunately this isn’t easy to find! Thing is the Labour party are not making themselves attractive to me. I don’t want a party of spite in control. They lost the election on it and now seem to be spitting the dummy at every opportunity.

If they are turning their key demographic off then it’s all downhill surely. Not wishing to offer advice to them but they need to lose Wendy Alexander. The very fact that she’s even IN the Labour party is almost enough to never vote them again. I in NO WAY wish to contribute to her salary! XD
