I accidentally turned off Akismet today or yesterday and was getting really annoyed at the amount of spam I was getting. It was mostly all held in moderation queue right enough.
Somehow though I’ve managed to delete a bunch of comments in the clean up and they seem to be gone forever 
Sorry if yours was one that’s gone! If you need it get it from archive.org hehe
