Catty’s decided that we need to leave Aberdeen for 2 weeks
. See you soon. Do not burgle me! Thanks for watching, I’m billythekid…
billythekid speaking now!
I’ve long wondered aloud about the boys in the north east. What the fuck are they doing on the roads??
Not a week goes by that another one isn’t killed on the roads round here. Now, they’re not difficult roads to drive if you abide by common sense but these boys don’t seem to know any better. How many need to die before they realise the error of their ways?
This just doesn’t happen in Ayrshire, at least not nearly to the extent it does here in Aberdeen.
Sort it out boys, it’s not clever.
I don’t know how many times I’ve uttered ‘tosser’ at some moron hitting the brakes to go past the speed camera, before speeding up again to excess speed. The cameras in Bucksburn are constantly being abused like this. The whole point is to make people slow down isn’t it? They only slow down for as long as the strips though. After that it’s law-breaking business as usual. Bucksburn primary entrance is just past the camera in Bucksburn, the very point at which the dumbfucks are putting the foot down again.
The entrance to my driveway is the same. We live about 20 yards before the national speed limit sign, that 20 yards might as well be -20 yards though as they bang through it already up to speed.
I passed a police driving test a couple of years ago with Strathclyde Police which was all about safe driving.
What the boys up here don’t seem to realise is that a car can easily kill someone if it makes contact, like a knife or a bullet. You are essentially driving a weapon. Don’t use it as one.If one of my kids are killed by one of you morons I’ll be so bloody angry. It’s a limit, not a target. If I can stick to it why can’t you?

I was listening to the radio yesterday in the car and Cllr Willie Young came on in an interview regarding the current 27/50 million pound cuts (I mean savings - haha) in the council’s budget. He again called for Council leader Kate Dean’s resignation. Fair enough, those in control need to take responsibility but he, I feel, negated his statement with his qualification, not word for word, but along the lines of… “We are trying to move on but until she goes that’s impossible.”
Well, how exactly are you trying to move on? Do we have a plan from Labour on what to do? Were Labour even there when the accounts commission gave their verdict and suggestions? How exactly is Kate Dean staying in control stopping you from ‘moving on’?
It’s the lack of movement on the part of the Labour party that’s stopping the council from ‘moving on’. The finance secretary John Swinney was in town this week telling the council to shut it, get together, work together and fix the bloody mess. It’s a pity John Swinney isn’t a Labour politician as it seems that the Labour party, at least in Aberdeen, give other parties views and suggestions no weight at all. The SNP have been consistently trying to make things better, albeit through tough decisions.
If anything the SNP should be the ones floundering in this, they overspent by shedloads themselves, as well as the inherited years of overspend which, although the SNP tried to point it out, got swept to the side and ignored on the most part. Instead it’s the Labour party who are coming from this badly with a reputation for finger pointing, inaction and ignorance(of others). They should be saying “We told you not to vote for the SNP, but you did, however here’s how we can make it better until the next election…” NOT “They did it, it wasn’t us, oh you voted them in, it’s their mess let them deal with it, don’t cut this, don’t cut that, oh, no we don’t have an alternative…” etc.
Labour, it’s been said before in this blog, you are turning off the voters, you should be on the rise here with what is a clear opportunity to grab votes by ACTION. I fear however that the SNP are riding artificially high at a time when they should be in decline due to your bitching. Cut it out!

as per http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=724885&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a My emails are now sorted, was something broken in AVG8. I’ve been hoving some trouble with AVG8 actually I think I’m gonna follow the advice of the poster in that thread and reinstall Avast.
I love Wednesday mornings, kidthekid-4 and I have breakfast at McDonalds. It’s our weekly treat. I’m driving a decent car (Focus S-Max hire car from enterprise, mine’s is in getting fixed after a bump, I must have more non-fault bumps than anyone else in ABZ!) and the sun is splitting the trees.
Yep, happy days…
I was going to do a short post on how I am getting round my ’sell out’ clause (see last post) by keeping up to date with MisssyM via her full post aggregation on the ABZblogs site. Hehe! I set the rules I’ll bend them where quality blogging is happening.
I couldn’t ignore the last post from fellow ABZ blogger Cllr Mark McDonald though. It’s late now and I wouldn’t do a response justice, although I will be posting comment in his blog soon enough. I just want to say that this blog may well be heading in a slightly local political direction (hey I already have 2 mentions in the Scottish round-up, I’m practically the politics authority! - also, what’s happening with curious hamster? after his move to wordpress his aggregation’s not feeding ABZ, this needs sorting, I digress…) Yeah, politics… I don’t think the P&J are doing the current round of political troubles in Aberdeen justice with their coverage. They’re becoming ever so slightly story writers rather than story tellers. Hopefully some fellow bloggers and I can re-direct the focus or at least get both sides heard.
I don’t talk about my own political leanings, mainly because I don’t like the set up of party politics, it’s always party first, politics second. Not how I want my life to be run thanks. So I’ll be staying independent although I’ll no doubt seem to be taking an SNP bias as I try to get the viewpoint of a non P&J/EE writer across.![]()
